Remarks
Further investigation is needed of the COI divergence (p-distance: 3.6%, for 503 nt) between the present DNA sequence and that from São Paulo city, SE Brazil ( Gomes et al. 2010), to determine whether P. boraceiensis includes more than one species or whether it has a considerable population structure.
Geographic distribution
Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná and Santa Catarina states ( Gomes et al. 2010), including the city of Rio de Janeiro ( Rangel et al. 2021).
