Description. Body size small. Head and thorax. Ocelli oval ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ). Fastigium of vertex as wide as the first antennal segment, without longitudinal furrow above ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ). Occiput with a slightly twisting longitudinal median suture ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 BD). Anterior and posterior margins of pronotum convex ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 BD). Lateral lobes longer than deep, ventral margin oblique ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ). Disc of pronotum arc-shaped in front view. Prosternum with a pair of processes, apical area pointed; basal half of mesosternum wide, the lateral margins constricted about middle areas, then terminating into a pair of stout spines; metasternum with a pair of triangular processes, internal margins nearly straight, external margins slightly expanded, apices obtuse ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Wings absent ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 BD).

Legs. Fore and mid coxae with a spine ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ). Genicular lobes of all femora without spines ( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 , 3 View FIGURE 3 ). External surface of hind femur with distinct chevron ridges ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Tympana elongated oval on both sides of fore tibiae ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 AB). All femora without spinules. Fore tibia dorsally with 1 internal spine and 1 pair of apical spurs; ventrally with 4 pairs of moveable spines and 1 pair of apical spurs, with the internal spurs of both pairs being longer ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 AB). Mid tibia dorsally with 3 internal spines, 2 external spines and 1 pair of apical spurs; ventrally with 4 pairs of spines, and 1 pair of apical spurs ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 CD). Hind tibia dorsally with 9~10 internal, 9~10 external spines and 1 pair of elongated apical spines; ventrally with 1 pair of short spines, and 3 pairs of apical spurs gradually increasing in length and size towards tip ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ).

Male. Posterior area of tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of upcurved hooks, located right below the pair of semi-circular lateral processes on the posterior margin of ninth abdominal tergite ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 AD). Each paraproct with an elongated and upcurved process ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ABD). Epiproct hidden under the pair of paraprocts ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ). Cerci cylindrical, gradually narrowing towards apex, apices obtuse, longer than length of paraproct ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ABD). Basal area of subgenital plate broad, apical area rectangular, with a pair of lateral carinae ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ). Posterior margin of subgenital plate straight, with a pair of cylindrical styli laterally ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ).

Female. Ovipositor upcurved, gradually tapering towards the apex, basal area stout, dorsal valvulae longer than ventral ones ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ). Cerci conical, apices acute ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ). Subgenital plate roughly triangular, basal area broad, triangularly narrowing posteriorly, lateral margins distinctly constricted at transition between basal and apical areas, apex acute ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ).

Coloration. Body generally dark reddish-brown. Occiput with a grey patch. Pronotum with an hourglass-shaped white marking. Abdominal tergite with irregular yellowish spots.

Measurements (mm). Body length: ♂ 13.9~14.2, ♀ 13.3~14.8; length of pronotum: ♂ 4.7~4.8, ♀ 4.9~5.0; length of fore femur: ♂ 5.3~5.6, ♀ 6.2~6.4; length of mid femur: ♂ 5.5~5.8, ♀ 6.7~7.0; length of hind femur: ♂ 15.4~15.8, ♀ 16.8~17.2; length of fore tibia: ♂ 6.2~6.4, ♀ 7.4~7.5; length of mid tibia: ♂ 6.8~7.0, ♀ 7.7~8.0; length of hind tibia: ♂ 13.3~13.6, ♀ 15.4~15.6; length of ovipositor: 12.3~12.5.

Remarks. Anabropsi s (Spinanabropsis) zeluni is unique, it differs from all apterous species of Anabropsis by the enlarged hourglass-shaped white band on pronotum ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 , 6 View FIGURE 6 ).

Etymology. This species is named after the collector Michael Zelun Lee (University of California, Riverside).
