Europa stets E. ampliatella View in CoL . Die in der Checkliste 2010 aufgeführte E. adultella muss deshalb durch E. ampliatella ersetzt werden.

Nach Leraut (2014) handelt es sich bei Ephestia parasitella auct. nec Staudinger, 1859 um drei Arten: E. parasitella Staudinger, 1859 , E. unicolorella Staudinger, 1881 und E. woodiella , von denen nur die Letztere in Mitteleuropa vorkommt. Ephestia woodiella ersetzt deshalb in der Checkliste 2010 E. parasitella .
