Distribution. Neotropical; Chile ( Spinola 1851): Región Metropolitana ( Lanfranco 1974a); Región de La Araucanía ( Porter 1987); Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena ( Lanfranco 1974a, Porter, 1987).
Comments. Spinola (1851) in the original description only cites “ provincias centrales ” for the type locality.
