7.1.2 Aeglocryptus viridis ( Brullé, 1846) View in CoL
Distribution. Neotropical; Chile ( Roman 1910): Región Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo ( Porter 1967b; Lanfranco 1974a); Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena ( Porter 1967b; Lanfranco 1974a).
Comments. Brullé (1846) described Joppa viridis on a “Fem.” [=female] but according to Townes & Townes (1966) the specimen is a male.
The distribution of this species in Roman (1910) can refer to Argentinean Patagonia, Chilean Patagonia, or potentially both regions.
