Distribution. Neotropical; Chile: Patagonia(?) ( Holmgren 1868).
Comments. The distribution of this species in Holmgren (1868) can refer to Argentinean Patagonia, Chilean Patagonia, or potentially both regions.
Yu et al. (2016) listed Gauld et al. (2002) as the authors who first proposed the new combination Lissonota xanthopyga Holmgren, 1868 , but there is no mention of the species in their contribution.
