Distribution. FRENCH GUIANA, GUYANE, BRAZIL ( Bahia, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, S„o Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), ARGENTINA (Misiones), and PARAGUAY ( Alto Paraná). Here we recorded it for the RPPN Sanctuary of Caraça.
Material examined. BRAZIL, Minas Gerais, Catas Altas , RPPN Sanctuary of Caraça, Trilha Banho do Belchior , 20°6’51.96”S 43°29’34.44”W, 1271 m, Malaise, male, 18–23.xi.2022, Monné, M.L. leg. ( MNRJ-ENT7-47243 ) GoogleMaps .
Diagnosis. This species is recognized by the following combination of characters: pronotum with slightly prominent posterolateral elevations toward the median tubercles; elytra with longitudinal carinae evident, with patches of dense and salient white setae irregularly distributed; region between elytral basal-crests covered with dense light brown setae also covering the scutellum, forming a circum-scutellar macula; meso- and metafemora glabrous on inner surface ( Souza & Monné, 2013: 329, figs. 101, 102).
