The species occurs both in pure mats and mixed with Pseudolophozia sudetica , Diplophyllum albicans , Fuscocephaloziopsis albescens , Lophozia wenzelii , L. murmanica , Gymnomitrion concinnatum , Pohlia cruda , P. crudoides .
