Replaced synonym of: Athanasia parviflora L. (1774) .

Lectotype (Wijnands, Bot. Commelins: 70. 1983): Herb. Linn. No. 986.17 ( LINN) .

Current name: Hymenolepis crithmifolia (L.) Greuter View in CoL & al. ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although the correct name for this species in Athanasia is A. parviflora L. (1774) , the epithet “crithmifolia” being pre-occupied, the correct name in Hymenolepis is H. crithmifolia (L.) Greuter & al., as pointed out by Greuter & al. (in Taxon 54: 155. 2005).
