Didymium dubium is a common and widely distributed species in North America arid regions ( Blackwell & Gilbertson 1980b, Lizárraga et al. 2003, Novozhilov et al. 2003, Lado et al. 2007, 2013, 2016, Estrada-Torres et al. 2009). It has been also reported from arid and semi-arid lands in Canary Islands ( Beltrán-Tejera et al. 2010) and Monte Desert of Argentina ( Lado et al. 2011).
