Discussion A few specimens from the Zanclean of the Cubagua FM in Venezuela differ from the typical P. darienensis specimens in the relatively short sulcus (OL:SuL = 2.0–2.2 vs 1.5–1.75) which may indicate the presence of a further species of Proparrella . However, the few specimens are only 1.1 to 1.4 mm in length and therefore do not warrant a clear definition.
