Discussion A few specimens from the Pliocene of the Atlantic side of Panama differ from the typical B. boqueronensis in the completely smooth outline and could possibly represent a different species. However, all specimens available are smaller than 1.5 mm in length, likely represent juveniles and thus do not qualify for a proper identification.
