Plantas anuales, glabrescentes, sin pelos glandulíferos, a veces víscidas en la parte superior. Flores hermafroditas, en dicasios laxos. Cáliz con 10 nervios, generalmente anastomosados. Estilos 3. Carpóforo glabro o pubescente. Semillas reniformes, tuberculadas, de caras y dorso planos.
