ARGUMENTAIRE TAXONOMIQUE
Idalus flavithorax Joicey & Talbot, 1918 est décrit sur un mâle unique provenant du Rio Grande do Sul au Brésil. L’espèce est traitée comme un synonyme de R. flavoplagiata Rothschild, 1911 de Colombie occidentale, par Watson & Goodger (1986). La comparaison de trois séquences de l’Équateur(versant occidental) et de quatre séquences du sud-est Brésil (États du Parana et du Santa Catarina) montre clairement qu’il s’agit bien de deux espèces distinctes avec des différences comprises entre 3,9 et 4,8 %. Nous proposons donc cette réhabilitation.
