Type species: Leucetusa simplicissima Burton, 1932 .
Diagnosis: Leucetidae with an amorphous or tubular massive body. Te well-developed cortical skeleton can be composed of single or multiple layers of triactines and/or tetractines. Te choanosomal and the atrial skeletons are composed of pygmy triactines and tetractines. Aquiferous system leuconoid, syconoid or both ( Lopes and Klautau 2023).
