Remarks: geographical distribution includes the Caribbean Islands, such as Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, Grenada, Barbados, St. Martin, and Venezuela ( Broodbakker 1982, 1984a, Martens & Behen 1994). Broodbakker (1982) redescribed this species from the Syntype — ZMA, Ost. 150.723 and Topotype — ZMA, Ost. 150.721, that was collected on Klein Bonaire, which he proposes as the type locality for the species. Broodbakker (1984b) indicates that the species is a companion fauna of Diaphanocypris meridana . From the information in Hummelinck (1940), it is assumed that the sample WH 1936/30 was collected on Iguana Island, Los Testigos Archipelago ( Venezuela).
