Type material of Telamonia shepardi (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. Dap 32), CHINA: Hainan Island, Dapo Town, Dapo Village , 28.III.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratypes: 1 ♁ (coll. no. Dap 37), 1 ♀ (coll. no. Dap 33) and 1 juvenile (coll. no. Dap 34), same data as holotype .

Description and diagnosis. See Peng (2020) for a redescription and diagnosis of both sexes.

Distribution. China ( Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan), India, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Comments. The type specimens of T. shepardi were examined and no differences could be found to separate it from T. festiva , so we propose the synonymy of T. shepardi syn. nov. with T. festiva .
