Type material of Synagelides proszynskii (examined). Holotype ♁ (coll. no. Dap 24), CHINA: Hainan Is. Dapo, Dapo Village , Ex. pepper plantation, 25.III–9.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al.

Description and diagnosis. See Prószyński (2009) for a redescription and diagnosis of the species.

Distribution. China ( Anhui, Beijing, Fujian, Hainan, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Taiwan, Yunnan) and Vietnam.

Comments. The type material of S. proszynskii was studied and no clear differences could be found to separate S. palpalis and S. proszynskii . Thus, we consider S. proszynskii syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of S. palpalis .
