Type material of Octonoba sanyanensis (examined). Holotype ♀ (coll. no. San 2011-1), CHINA: Hainan Island, Sanya, Sanya College Campus , (coll. no. San 2011-2), leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratype: 1♀, same data as holotype .

Description and diagnosis. See Zhu et al. (1989) for a description and diagnosis of both sexes.

Distribution. China ( Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan).

Comments. The type material of O. sanyanensis was examined and no differences between U. guangxiensis and O. sanyanensis were observed. Thus, we consider O. sanyanensis syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of U. guangxiensis .
