Type:— PERU. Junín: Chanchamayo Valley, Setember [1924–1927], C. Schunke Vigo s.n. ( holotype: F 571652 !).
Notes: — Schweinfurth (1946) described N. carnosiflora based on a collection by Schunke Vigo s.n. and informed the herbarium F as being the place where it was deposited and which is where it is still preserved.
