Collection information.
USA: Georgia: Clarke Co.: 27 individuals from 15 sites. Caught in flight trap from 9 March – 16 June 2020.
Distribution.
Eastern North America.
Saproxylic habits.
unknown; larvae of Orphilus Erichson, 1846 develop within dry, fungus-infested branches ( Beal 1985; Pushkin and Mykhailovych 2019).
Conservation.
Occurrence probability increases in old forests (predating 1938 and oak dominated) in the Piedmont ( Traylor et al. 2024).
