Biology: The white larvae produce yellowish green blotch galls on the leaves of Filipendula ulmaria ( Rosaceae ). Each larva hangs suspended in a drop of liquid in a small depression on the underside of the leaf. Bivoltine; pupation and hibernation in the soil.

Distribution: Widespread in Europe including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
