Amphisbaena Kingii, Hens .

Besides a half-grown specimen Dr. v. Ihering transmitted several ova, obtained from ants ’ nests. These are of special interest, as nothing was previously known concerning the reproduction of the Amphisbamoids. The egg is cylindrical, measuring 35 millim. longitudinally and 10 millim. trans versely; its envelope is thin, leathery-brown in spirit. The foetus, which has reached maturity, measures 105 millim.
