NOTES. It is small-sized species with the body length 2.2–2.5 mm. Head, pronotum and elytra brown colored; elytra elongated and nearly parallel-sided; surface with cream-white lateral, adsutural and posterior spots, which is the diagnostic character easily distinguished from other members of Aderidae ; antennae, fore and mid legs light brown, hind legs darkened.

The head barely visible from dorsal view and strongly deflexed, with rudimentary tempora; antennae shorter than its body length; antennomeres elongated or as long as width, antennomere XI with basal part subcylindrical, narrowing rapidly, and apical part asymmetrical, pointed and subconical. The pronotum bell-shaped, lateral margins distinctly recurved posteriorly, forming a neck-like structure. Both sexes share the similar appearance ( Jałoszyński et al., 2013). This species is widely distributed in Taiwan.

DISTRIBUTION. Taiwan ( new record), Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Russia (European part, south part of Far East), Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Japan, Northeast Territory of China ( Nardi, 2008).
