Type material. CHINA, Fujian Province: Holotype female from Quanzhou City, Dehua County, Chishui Town , Daiyunshan National Nature Reserve , 25.65°N, 118.23°E, 1421 m, 21 July 2013, X. Cao & Y. Zhong leg. ( CBEE, LJ02604 ) GoogleMaps . Paratype: 1 female, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ02605 ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Daiyunshan; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. daiyunensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. yuanjiangensis Zhao & Li, 2018 ( Jiang et al. 2018) by the short FW and the laterad apical ends of IDS, but can be separated by the π-shaped of IDS (IDS with distinct lateral loop visible through cuticle in ventral view as rounded patches in P. yuanjiangensis ).

FEMALE (LJ02604): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 8.0, DS length 3.8, width 3.4, OS length 4.2, width 2.6. Eyes: AME 0.14, ALE 0.22, PME 0.17, PLE 0.19, AME–AME 0.12, AME–ALE 0.08, PME–PME 0.15, PME–PLE 0.25, AME–PME 0.21, ALE–PLE 0.17, CH AME 0.28, CH ALE 0.22. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III–IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 4.5 (1.2, 0.8, 1.0, –, 1.5); I 12.1 (3.6, 1.3, 3.4, 2.8, 1.0); II 14.3 (4.0, 1.5, 4.3, 3.2, 1.3); III 10.0 (3.3, 1.2, 2.5, 2.3, 0.7); IV 11.7 (3.8, 1.0, 2.8, 3.0, 1.1). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 22 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 80A–C View FIGURE 80 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long, with obvious AB. Anterior margins of LL short. LL not as wide as EF. FW very short, covering the middle part of IDS. FD short.

Colouration ( Figs 81A–B View FIGURE 81 ): DS yellow with dark spots and lines. Fovea and striae distinctly marked.

OS dorsally reddish-brown with lots of dots and with a yellowlongitudinal heart patch in anterior half and a transversal line in posterior part. OS ventrally reddishbrown with several dark dots.

Male. Unknown.
