Distribution: Malaysia, Java.

Remarks: This species is reported for the first time from India.

Description: The general shape is long and narrow with a shining brown colour ( Fig. 2A, B View Fig ). Head large, globose and a little wider than the pronotum. The forehead is flattened, the frontal rostrum rather long, as broad as the first antennal joint, with parallel margins, extended up to a transverse furrow at the base ( Fig. 2C View Fig ). The anterior ocellus is situated at the bottom of a depression nearly at the middle of the rostrum. There is a blackish band behind each eye which continues to the lateral lobes of the pronotum and the lateral field of the elytra. Antennae are very long, annulated with brown and brownish-yellow colour. Eyes are small, globular and projecting laterally. The face is broad and oblique with very short palps. The pronotum is transverse, square, not attenuated in front, with the anterior margin feebly concave and obtusely angular posteriorly.Lateral lobes with rounded corners and inferior margin feebly ascending posteriorly. Legs slender, brownish-yellow; first two pairs are very short; anterior tibiae barely dilated and perforated on both faces, tympana are oblong. Hind legs are very long; posterior femora feebly dialated at the base, a little striated with pale reddish brown. Posterior tibiae finely serrulated on the superior margins

and armed with 5-6 external and 8-9 internal spines. The abdomen is decorated above with two black bands. Elytra is shorter than the abdomen, light brownish-yellow with lateral brown band ( Fig. 2B View Fig ). Dorsal field with irregular reticulation formed by 4 oblique veins and 3 veins in the lateral field. Wings slightly exceed the elytra. The ovipositor is longer than the posterior femur, flattened and broad at the base, curved upwards and straight afterwards without differentiated apical valves ( Fig. 2D View Fig ).

Measurement: Length of body 10.5-10.8 mm; posterior femur 9.5-10 mm; elytra 5-7 mm; ovipositor 11.5-12 mm.
