Bombus pascuorum freygessneri Vogt, 1909 View in CoL

Iberian subspecies distributed mainly in the northeast ( Catalonia and Valencia), but entering into the inner Peninsula, where hybrid forms with other subspecies appear. Its elevational distribution ranges from 150 to 1690 m ( Ornosa & Ortiz-Sánchez 2004).

Recently it was located in the Pyrenees between 627 and 2152 m ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ), on Acinos alpinum (L.), Asarina procumbens Mill. , Echium plantagineum (Nox.) , Malva sylvestris L., Medicago sativa L. , Rhododendron ferrugineum L. and Trifolium repens L.

According to current data, this species exhibits greater orophilous tendency ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ) but it is not regarded as being threatened ( Table 2 View TABLE 2 ).
