Coccinella variegata Goeze 1777: 247 . Material examined. Total of 147 specimens ( 133 adults, 10 larvae, 4 pupae) were collected from herbaceous plants, Aloe sp., succulents, L. arborescens , N. oleander , Hibiscus sp., P. granatum and Bougainvillea sp. The species was recorded at 13 study sites: Aeropuerto de Fuerteventura ( 30.III.2017), Barranco de las Penitas ( 29.III.2017), Barranco de los Gutierres ( 25.III.2017), Caleta de Fuste ( 13.II.2017, 30.III.2017) , Costa Calma (22–23.III.2017, 27.III.2017, 09.VIII.2017), El Cotillo ( 10.02.2017), El Pinar ( 05.VIII.2017), La Lajita ( 13.II.2017, 23.III.2017), La Pared ( 26.III.2017, 04–05.VIII.2017, 12.VIII.2017), Morro Jable ( 24.III.2017), Pajara ( 12.08.2017), Tarajalejo ( 24. III.2017) and Vega de Rio Palmas ( 25.III.2017) .
Distribution. The species is widely distributed in the Palaearctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions, inhabiting all seven Canarian islands ( Eizaguirre 2007; Oromí & Báez 2010).
