Material examined. Total of 110 specimens collected from palms, including Phoenix canariensis H. Wildpret , Yucca sp., Punica granatum L., Hibiscus sp., Nerium oleander L. and Euphorbia sp. at Caleta de Fuste ( 13.II.2017, 30.III.2017), Costa Calma (08–09.II.2017, 11.II.2917, 14.II.2017, 21–22.III.2017), La Lajita ( 23.III.2017) and Morro Jable ( 24.III.2017).
Distribution. New to Fuerteventura. Reported from La Gomera and Tenerife by Eizaguirre (2007) and Oromí & Báez (2010). This species of native distribution in southern California ( Gordon 1994) is now widespread in North America ( Hoelmer & Pickett 2003). Also widely used in Europe as a biological control agent but stable populations have not been established.
