Description
Coloration. Body brown. Crown and face pale brown; eyes light yellow. Pronotum with three light yellow spots on anterior margin, posterior margin dark brown. Mesonotum with median black triangle on anterior margin, posterior margin of scutellum yellowish. Forewing brown, veins alternating brown and white.
Median length of mesonotum approximately equal to combined length of crown and pronotum. Lateral frontal suture inconspicuous and without extending to ocellus.
Male genitalia. Subgenital plate slightly shorter than pygofer Connective short, lateral margins centrally concave, anterior margin with a relatively long finger-like process. Style broad at middle, dorsally curved in terminal half, obtuse at apex, with multiple short setae in terminal half of dorsal margin. Aedeagal shaft deeply bifid at tip, with pair of short processes laterad of gonopore and directed anterolaterally perpendicular to shaft; gonopore subapical.
Measurement (mm). Male: body length including tegmina 5.3–5.40; face length 1.60–1.70, width 1.80–1.90; distance from ocellus to eyes 0.25–0.30; medial length of pronotum 0.60–0.70, width 1.50–1.60; scutellum length 0.85–0.90, width 1.10–1.20.
Type material. Holotype, ♂, Bozhu Town , Wenshan City, Yunnan Province, China (103°56′24″E, 23°23′06″N; H: 2099 m), 15 July 2022, Coll. Jikai Lu. Etymology. The new species name is taken from the yellowish V-shaped marking on the posterior margin of the mesoscutellum.
Remarks. The new species is similar to I. recurvatus , but it can be distinguished from the latter by apically bifid aedeagus with preapical processes directed anterolaterally.
