Quasimus elongatissimus Dolin, 1993: 186 (original description; published type locality: Sonamarg, India); Korneev & Cate, 2005: 15 ( type catalogue); Cate, 2007: 190 (catalogue; “KA” as India: Kashmir); Schimmel & Tarnawski, 2009: 114 (catalogue; “ India: Kashmir”); Gupta et al., 2018: 502 (catalogue; “2A” as India: Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir).
Type Locality. India: Sonamarg , Ganderbal District, Jammu & Kashmir .
Type Depository. Holotype, M (??); 34 Paratypes, 17 M, 17 F ( SIZK, ZMMU).
Distribution in India. Jammu & Kashmir (Baramulla District, Ganderbal District).
General Distribution. India, Pakistan ( Dolin 1993; Cate 2007; Schimmel & Tarnawski 2009).
Remark. Although Dolin (1993: 186) mentioned the holotype and paratypes as being deposited in NHMB, the specimens could not be located in the collection (pers. comm. I. Zürcher, NHMB). As the presence of this species in Himachal Pradesh requires confirmation, this locality is not included here.
