In the original description Mihelčič (1949) reported the presence of characters 3, 7, 9, 10. This species has transverse bands of cuticular pores (pearls) that are present in several Minibiotus species ( e.g., Minibiotus poricinctus Claxton, 1998 , Minibiotus keppelensis Claxton, 1998 , Minibiotus gumersindoi Guil & Guidetti, 2005 ) and a smaller number of Macrobiotus species ( e.g., Macrobiotus lazzaroi ).
