Type. Male. VIETNAM as Tonkin. Fragmentary. Labelled: 1. Hand written not decipherable; 2. Handwritten ‘ Colophotia’; 3. Handwritten ‘voir praeusta’; 4. Colophotia elongata n.sp. ( MNHN Pic collection Box 47) .

Diagnosis. The type is dorsally yellow with black tipped elytra; the ventral surface is missing, presumably eaten. It has not been possible to distinguish any useful features of this species from Pic’s description, apart from the small size ( 5mm long) and the dorsal colour.
