sp. nov.

Shizuka neoapicula , sp. nov.

(Figures 11–24)

Measurement. Body length: male (N=1) (incl. tegmen): 7.5 mm (except tegmen: 3.2 mm), length of tegmen: 6.8 mm.

Coloration. Body generally black. Vertex with lateral marginal carinae brownish and disc white (Figs 11, 12). Frons white, with lateral marginal carinae brownish except for black at basal third, in lateral view, genae each with a longitudinal stripe from apex to apical third in front of eyes (Figs 13, 14). Postclypeus black, with median carina and lateral carinae black. Rostrum yellow, with apical segment black (Figs 13, 14). Eyes blackish; ocelli white. Antennae yellow, with pedicel tinged black in middle. Pronotum black, with margins and median carina yellowish (Figs 11–14). Mesonotum black, with posterior margin yellowish, median carina yellow, lateral carinae black on anterior third and yellowish on rest. Tegula yellowish (Figs 11, 12, 14). Tegmina off-white and semitransparent, with dark brown unguiform markings in apical part, MP branches with dark brown spots at terminal, jugal margin with a dark brown marking, veins yellowish brown to dark brown (Fig. 17). Wings off-white, with an elongate triangular dark brown stripe at base, veins brown (Fig. 15). Coxae of fore legs black, rest yellowish (Fig. 14). Abdomen black with dorsomedial carina yellowish (Fig. 11). Anal tube of male yellow; gonostyli dark brown to black (Figs 11, 13, 14).

Structure. Head and thorax. Vertex about 1.7 times longer in midline than width of base (Figs 11, 12). Frons with lateral marginal carinae contiguous (Fig. 13). Antennae with pedicel about 2.8 times longer than widest part and shorter than frons (Figs 11–14). Mesonotum about nine times longer than pronotum in midline, disc raised slightly and posterior part flat, with three indistinct longitudinal carinae, median carina straight and lateral two curved towards middle at posterior third (Figs 11, 12, 14). Tegmina narrow and elongate, about 3.1 times longer than widest part; CuA forked about at same level of MP 1+2 forking and basal third of tegmen, CuA 1 fused with CuA 2 near apex to form a common stem and then extending to posterior margin, cell 5 present and small (Fig. 17). Wings with MP two-branched, CuA two-branched (Fig. 15). Metatibiotarsal formula: 4-7-8 (Fig. 16).

Male terminalia. Anal tube narrow and long, slightly groove, in dorsal view, subrectangular, wide basally and slightly constricted distad, sharply constricted to round angular at apex, with anal stylus at middle, epiproct wide and rectangular, paraproct long and oval (Figs 11, 18); in lateral view, widest basally, narrow and inclined ventrad in apical quarter, dorsal margin convex dorsad at basal third, dorsolateral margin slightly elevated from basal third to subapical part, ventral margin slightly angular ventrad at basal two fifths (Fig. 20). Pygofer narrow, in lateral view, widest ventrally, anterior margin concave at dorsal third, posterior margin arched caudad in dorsal quarter (Fig. 20); in ventral view, venter wide rectangular, with anterior and posterior margins relatively straight (Fig. 19). Gonostylus narrow and long, in dorsal view, hook-shaped, narrow and incurved centrally (Figs 18, 19); in lateral view, curved dorsad near apex, bifurcated apically into two branches, one of which large and triangular, pointed at apex and directed dorsad, other one underneath very small, round and protruded caudad; with a narrow internal auricular process inside near dorsal base, densely covered long setae on surface (Figs 20, 21). Phallic complex moderately short and stout in appearance, with basal half relatively narrow and apical half distinctly swollen, in dorsal view, periandrium strongly arched near middle on left side (Fig. 22); in lateral view, periandrium with dorsal margin shallowly concave at basal third and membranous near apex (Figs 23, 24); with five processes, from base to apex: 1) a medium-sized angular process directed dorsocaudad at middle; 2) a long strip-shaped process arising near apical part, broad and compressed, slightly folded centrally, blunt acute and curved downward apically, extending forward to basal third of phallic complex; 3) a long and acute process directed dorsad near base of second process at apex; 4) a large and elongate process directed dorsocephalad on right side of third process, broad at base and gradually tapered distad, deflexed near middle; 5) a long and acute process directed dorsad at middle part of apex (Figs 22–24).

Type material. Holotype: ♂ ( NWAFU), Nangun River , Lincang County, Yunnan Province, China, 700 m, 25 Sept. 2024, coll. Li Rongrong.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the close resemblance of tegminal markings to S. apicula , sp. nov.

Remarks. This species is similar to S. apicula sp. nov. in the markings on tegmina, but with different from latter by fewer markings and bifurcated gonostyli.
