Type material. Holotype ♂, ‘[E] Malaysia, Sabah, Banjaran Crocker Mts, Gunung Alab peak, 1650–1800 m, 10.V.1996, M. Štrba & R. Hergovits leg.’, ‘ Holotype’, ‘ Platerodrilus strbai sp. nov., S. Kazantsev des. 2009’ ( ICM).
Remarks. In addition to the distinguishing characters provided in the description ( Kazantsev, 2009), P. strbai stands out among its congeners by the structure of the terminal abdominal ventrite, with somewhat constricted proximally and triangular at apex proximal strut ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34–42 ).
