Malpolon insignitus fuscus (Fleischmann, 1831)
The Eastern Montpellier Snake has been reported by Chondropoulos (1989: 17), Broggi (1994: 32), and Schmid (2019: 74, 77). We found the species at seven localities: Agios Georgios monastery near Maranthochori( 17/5/2019), between Maranthochori and the lake ( 17/5/2019; Fig. 3B View Fig ), SW of Maranthochori ( 23/5/2019), south of Athani ( 23/5/2019), Livadia ( 24/5/2019), Vasiliki ( 25/5/2019), and Asprogerakata ( 26/5/2019). In addition, we found a single citizen science record from near Apollonioi ( 25/10/2019).
