Phycitodes binaevella (Hübner, [1813]) View in CoL
( Moeberg 1925; J̹rivete et al. 2000)
MATERIAL EXAMINED. 1 ♀, St. Petersburg, 1939 ( Gerasimov) ; 1 ♀, Krupeli , 13.vii.1974 ( Falkovitsh) ; 1 ♀, Olshanik , 10.vii.2012 ; 1 ♀, Piskarevka , 14.vii.2012 ; 1 ♀, W env. of Luga , 25.vii.2012 ; 1 ♀, Trubnikovo , 19.ix.2012 .
REMARKS. P. binaevella is a widespread and rather common species, which was earlier reported for the region only by K. Moeberg (1925) (Sestroretsk, Lahta, Leningrad). I observed it in a great number of localities, including A. Petrovoj ( 29.vii.2012) and Khyul’gyuzi ( 18.vii.2015). Imagoes actively migrate occurring in any open habitats. They are often attracted to light.
DISTRIBUTION. The Palaearctic except for northern areas ( Roesler 1965, 1973; Sinev 1986; Karsholt & Razowski 1996; Leraut 2014; Sinev et al. 2019).
