Comment. Brignoliolus Ovchinnikov, 1999 was originally described as a subgenus of Coelotes Blackwall, 1841 . It was recently elevated to the full genus status ( Zonstein & Marusik 2024). This is the first record of the Coelotinae in Iran.
Distribution. Known from all five Central Asian countries: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan ( Mikhailov 2024).
