The species has been previously recorded from Burkina Faso, Congo, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Sierra Leone; from Benin the species was recorded by (Háva & Coache 2023); the data above represent a new locality for Benin.
