Type host: unknown

Current status: a synonym of Hyalomma impeltatum and its original name (Apanaskevich & Horak 2009). The current status of Hyalomma savignyi impeltatum , as Hyalomma impeltatum , was established by Kratz (1940).

Comments: the holotype specimen is not listed as held in the ZMB ( Moritz & Fischer 1981). See Hyalomma impeltatum for the designation of a neotype under that name .
