Type host: Tachyglossus aculeatus
Current status: a synonym of Bothriocroton tachyglossi and its original name ( Guglielmone et al. 2009). The current status of Aponomma tachyglossi , as Bothriocroton tachyglossi , was also established by Guglielmone et al. (2009).
