Type locality: Kibonoto , Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Type host: Genetta pardina

Current status: a synonym of Ixodes djaronensis and its original name ( Camicas et al. 1998). The current status of Ixodes ugandanus djaronensis , as Ixodes djaronensis , was established by Santos Dias (1958a).
