Type depositories: BM: holotype (female) ; USNTC: a paratype (female)

Type locality: 6 km south of Dalat , Vietnam

Type host: the holotype specimen was collected from vegetation

Current status: a synonym of Alloceraea colasbelcouri , as discussed in Guglielmone et al. (2009, under the genus Haemaphysalis ).
