Type depositories: CNC: holotype (female) and paratypes (a male, nymphs and larvae) ( Gregson 1941) ; USNTC: a paratype (female) ( Robbins & Keirans 1992) ; MCZ: a paratype (a nymph)

Type locality: Tappen , near Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada

Type host: Ochotona princeps

Comments: Gregson (1941) listed a female, nymphs and larvae as paratypes deposited in the USNTC, but Robbins & Keirans (1992) found only a paratype (female) in that collection.
