Type locality: near Kwan Don , Setul, Thailand

Type host: Tapirus indicus

Current status: a synonym of Haemaphysalis nadchatrami and its original name ( Camicas et al. 1998). The current status of Haemaphysalis papuana nadchatrami , as Haemaphysalis nadchatrami , was established by Hoogstraal et al. (1968a).
