Type locality: Huangyuan , Qinghai Province, China

Type host: goat

Comments: Camicas et al. (1998), Guglielmone et al. (2009, 2014) and Guglielmone & Nava (2014) referred to this tick as Haemaphysalis quinghaiensis , but this is an incorrect spelling ( Wen et al. 2016).
