Comments: Voltzit & Keirans (2002) treated Amblyomma fimbriatum as a synonym of Amblyomma helvolum , but this synonymy was not accepted in Guglielmone et al. (2020). Kaufman (1972) stated that the holotype is deposited in the USNTC, but this species is not listed in the catalog of USNTC types by Keirans & Clifford (1984).
