Comments: Neumann (1899) described Amblyomma goeldii from seven males and five females, but the alleged females of Amblyomma goeldii were found to be, in fact, females of Amblyomma rotundatum ( Keirans 1985, Guglielmone et al. 2021). Therefore, records of females from Bufo agua , one female collected in Demerara ( Guyana) and a female allegedly deposited in the ZMB but not found there by Moritz & Fischer (1981), are not treated here as part of the syntype series of Amblyomma goeldii .
