Type locality: Granja Pecuária Experimental de Pessuba , Guinea-Bissau
Type hosts: Varanus niloticus and Varanus exanthematicus
Current status: a synonym of Amblyomma flavomaculatum ( Santos Dias 1993) .
Comments: Tendeiro (1950) stated that “ types ” would be sent to the BMNH, but in the catalog of BMNH types by Keirans & Hillyard (2001) no specimens of Aponomma halli are listed.
