Type host: a bird
Comments: Filippova (2008) did not list types of Haemaphysalis kutchensis deposited in ZIAC. The holotype specimen molted from an engorged nymph collected from the type host. Several specimens of Haemaphysalis bispinosa intermedia deposited in the BMNH were reclassified as Haemaphysalis kutchensis in the original description of this species.
